Most important character is... well, there are 2
1. Narrator - no narrator, no story. He is compared to Friedrich, before and after.
Other family not so important
2. Friedrich - the title is Friedrich and also, he was the Jew who was implicated in this story and he was also compared to the narrator. His other family had died or disappeared already during the middle of the story.

Also, the other characters are important in their own way, so they MIGHT be considered main characters. Anyway, I seriously do not know who, out of these 2 is the most important character. Please analyse and comment. Thank you.
