The Most Important Character in Friedrich

The Most Important Characters in Friedrich (in order of importance):

Friedrich

Friedrich's Friend a.k.a. The Narrator

The Not So Important Characters in Friedrich (in order of importance):

  1. Frau Schneider
  2. The Narrator's family
  3. Rabbi
  4. Helga
  5. Frau Penk

Why Friedrich is the most important character in 'Friedrich':

Friedrich is the most important character (or as they say the main character) because the story revolves around him. It traces his life from a young age of 4 to 17. During that time, Friedrich could not go to the movies, could only sit on certain benches, could not go to the swimming pool, and could not do or own many other things, all for an unjustified reason - he was a Jew.

I thing the narrator is important too, because without him, there would be no story, but he is not as important as Friedrich though.
