FRIEDRICH!
-followed by the 'Narrator', all the Herrs and Fraus and the Nazis and all the characters in the story

Friedrich is obviouslythe main character mainly because the title is his name and he was shown alot though out the whole book, always being compared to the narrator. He was there to show how the Jews were treated, the narrator was his good friend but a non-Jew. Looking from the narrator's point of view, his family was reduced to dust and dirt while the narrator's family was continually growing because they joined the Nazis.
