Poor Pluto Pumps Planet Pace Pouring Pancake-flat

In short, the title's meant to say that Pluto has brought the count down to 8.

In case you have not read my comment to Yu Jian's post, I have my reasons why Pluto should or should not be disqualified.

First, I'm basically thinking of the poor people who will be taking the PSLE this year and in the years to come. If any question comes out about the planets, we'll be as good as stumped as to say whether the smallest planet is Mercury or Pluto or if the furthest planet from the Sun is Neptune or Pluto, and I mean at normal times when Pluto has not passed Neptune's orbit.

And I also think it isn't exactly fair for a planet to lose out just because it 'cheats'. It doesn't even crash into Neptune, just passes its orbit. God took care of the collision. It will never happen. How can they set rules that the planets must follow their own orbit? Besides, I'm also interested to know why the Sun's gravity did not exactly manage to keep Pluto in a circular orbit.

Anyway, speaking of planets and collisions, I think I've read before that Mars' moons, Phobos and Deimos would soon crash into it as they do not follow a perfectly circular orbit. Anyway, I may be wrong about that. Do enlighten me, anyone.

Sorry for sidetracking. That's one side of the story, but this is the other side, although it may contradict, because my alter-ego sometimes kicks in.

Perhaps it could be fair to disqualify Pluto, although it's based on just one lame orbital reason. Well, maybe the scientists think that if it were really from our Solar System and orbits around the Sun, it would orbit in a perfect circle, but whichever way, what else could it be orbiting around? Oh sorry, I'm supposed to be giving reasons why it should be disqualified, right? Alright, at least it's not so bad since in 'English', a dwarf planet is an extremely small planet. Then again, I'm not so sure what exactly a dwarf planet is, but definitely it is justified that Pluto is the smallest ex-planet. If it follows like this about being small, Mercury would be disqualified too quite soon, but if you're talking about orbits... people could say that if Neptune wasn't there, Pluto would not be crossing any other planet's orbit.

Oh well, I'm confused about all this myself, and it's up to you to try and comprehend it.

PHOOEY! PLUTO'S OUT!

1. The main character is defined by how much he/she is referred to or talked about. Friedrich’s life is being featured and it is in a way like a biography of some sort

2. I thing the narrator took part in the progrom because there were many people taking part in it and he did not want to feel left out and because afterward, he enjoyed destroying peoples property.

3. Up 4 grabs: $1 for proving 0x infinity = 1 and an additional prize of $50 to calculate 52 (it means that a stack of 5 2s or 2 to the power of 2 to the power of 2 to the power of 2 to the power of 2 or 265536)

CAUTION!!!!!! THE FOLLOWING WORDS MAY BAFFLE U IF U DUNNO SCIENCE JARGON

I feel horrified, not cause of the exams but the horrid news bout Pluto being disqualified n becoming a “dwarf planet” along with Ceres and Charon and Xena (wonder if Vespa can be counted as a dwarf planet) and I found some stuff about dark matter and the whatnot (OK. I admit I’m a GEEK and I’m nuts bout space and chem.) by the way, I found some replacements to the mnemonic:
My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas.
My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Noodles is my favourite so far
Mean Vote Ensures Macrocosm Jiggery-pokery, Sum Under Nine. Phooey (for Pluto).
So right now I am listening 2 some music to soothe my jiggled nerves and by the way, if u look carefully, u may b able to see Mars 2day and 2morrow and I bet there is gonna be a crowd near the science center using their telescopes 2 look at it (the god of war, sorry, I mean the planet) 2morrow
(I personally tried but could not get any visual sightings cause of the horrid light pollution in Singapore im going to try again today and its going to be evening when the sun is going to set and the electric light bulbs aren’t going to spoil my night (or should I say, evening) vision)
any way all the best 4 the PSLE and sorry 4 the slang and stuff (im still trying to soothe me jiggled brain and limbic system and me cortex, spine, ect…)

SORRY 4 THOSE WHO DON’T UNDERSTAND SCIENCE JARGON, PLEASE PROCEED TO LOOK UP AN ENCYCLOPEDIA OR THE WEB

p.s is science jargon considered as profanity or bad language?

p.s.s I am really offering the $51 prize! Tell me your explanation and the number in school and please vote under comments whether u think Pluto ought to be considered a “dwarf planet” 1 vote per person votes are free valid for 6/11 and 6/12 and teachers too.

SOME LAST-MINUTE TIPS ON PICTURE DISCUSSION

Oh well, this blog is certainly deserted. To spice things up a bit, this is something for anyone who still visits this blog. I know it is very very last minute to post this on the eve of the oral examination, but it is meant for people who really want to do last-minute revision.

So anyway, here are some picture discussion tips (actually they are simply quite a lot of tips from Mrs Nazima collated together with some extra examples). The indentation could be a little (no, very) weird because I cannot do it properly with Blogger. You can recognise it by the kind of bullet.

Behold...

THE PICTURE DISCUSSION TIPS!

- Always start with the BIG picture (overview)
§ Time
§ Place
§ Weather
§ Event

o Why the character did that
o What could have happened before
