In this story, the main characters are namely, the narrator, Herr Johann Resch, and Friedrich Schneider.

In third place Herr Johann Resch!
Herr Johann Resch is an important character as it brings out the most important point in the story DISCRIMINATION. Discrimination took place throughout the Holocaust and Herr Johann Resch is used to bring this out through Ploycarp, his little garden dwarf.

In second place... the narrator!!
the narrator is used to narrate the story and tell the readers thtngs that Friedrich did not know. He also tells us most of the story.

AND FINALLY, we come to the winner of The Search for the most IMPORTANT character in "Freidrich"... Friedrich Schneider!!!

Friedrich Schneider is the most important character of all, because without him this story would not even be here as the whole story is about him and his life during the Holocaust. Through his life, one is able to "live through the Holocaust".
